Handheld Page Scanner - Scanning on the Fly

A handheld page scanner comes in handy when you need to scan certain contents on a letter, magazine or book. The best thing about most of these small devices is that they do not have to be connected to any computer in order for you to scan and save what you find. What happens is whatever you scan gets saved to the Micro memory card that is installed in the handheld page scanner. You can choose the size of the memory card you would like to use; they go from one gig and up, so you can decide just how much space you need for your device.

Regular scanners can give problems often, especially when it comes to scanning thick books, as the problem often lies with the hinges. With a handheld scanner, it will be so much easier to use and it will get the job done a lot quicker. There are many different options for you to choose from when it comes to getting a handheld page scanner, but a typical one will be able to detain images that are up to at least 8.5 inches by fifty inches. It can also capture 300dpi or 600dpi, so you have to decide which will best suit you.

When you are done scanning your pages using a handheld page scanner, what you will do is remove the microSD card and insert it into a card reader which will then go into your USB port on your computer. You can then save your data on a folder on your computer for future references. Scanners like this normally take two batteries and with those two batteries you should be able to scan at least one hundred and eighty pages. A handheld page scanner is one of the most convenient items to have been invented; you can take it with you wherever you go as you never know when you might need it!
